Our aim at The Hidden Theatre Company is to ‘showcase hidden talent and work to be passionate about’ and this is why we started SCRATCHED. The night is a great way to develop new work, experience new material performed, engage in creative discussions as well as networking and creating blossoming relationships over a drink in the bar afterwards…
Writers are invited to submit a NEW script of 10-15 mins – with FIVE specific questions they want answered. Four scripts are chosen and then directors and actors are invited to apply.
On the night the cast and directors will meet and rehearse for an intensive 1½ hours and then the night will kick off at 7.30pm. After each piece is performed the writers will receive verbal feedback from the audience with the questions as a catalyst for the discussion.
SCRATCHED is an opportunity to experience actors and directors bring new writing to life and in most cases it is the first time the pieces and characters are brought to life!
